Komatsu PC75-10M0 Excavator Developed in India for Southeast Asia

Komatsu has started sales of the PC75-10M0, a 7-tonne-class hydraulic excavator developed and manufactured by Komatsu India for Southeast Asian markets.

Komatsu has started sales of the PC75-10M0, a 7-tonne-class hydraulic excavator developed and manufactured by Komatsu India Private Limited for Southeast Asian markets. The company announced the machine on September 10, 2026. (Komatsu)

The Komatsu PC75-10M0 is notable for the role played by the Indian operation in its development. Komatsu says it is the first hydraulic excavator developed under the leadership of Komatsu India, using the subsidiary’s development, production and procurement capabilities. (Komatsu)

Sales are being introduced sequentially across Southeast Asian countries beginning in the second quarter of Komatsu’s FY2026. The company has positioned the excavator for applications including road construction, land development, agriculture, forestry and rental operations.

Komatsu PC75-10M0 specifications

The Komatsu PC75-10M0 has a reported net engine power of 40.6 kW, or 54.5 hp, with an operating weight of 7,350 kg. Bucket capacity is listed at 0.30–0.35 cubic metres.

The machine uses a 3.71-metre boom and 1.65-metre arm. Maximum digging height is 7,040 mm, while maximum digging reach is 6,350 mm. The maximum applicable bucket capacity is 0.35 cubic metres.

Komatsu says the excavator combines a new engine with an optimised hydraulic system and work equipment. The changes are intended to improve digging and loading performance while maintaining fuel-conscious engine control. (Komatsu)

For operators, the machine features a newly designed cab and a 7-inch colour monitor. Depending on specification, the operator station can include air conditioning, Bluetooth connectivity, USB connectivity and a 24-volt power supply.

Maintenance access has also been addressed. Komatsu says access to the fuel and oil filters has been revised to support daily inspection, while a battery disconnect switch is provided for servicing.

Developed for Southeast Asian applications

Komatsu says the machine was developed around operating requirements in Southeast Asia, where customers are placing greater emphasis on total cost of ownership, including fuel consumption, maintenance, transportation and machine uptime.

The PC75-10M0 is the third model in Komatsu’s CE series. Development was carried out in parallel with the PC81-10M0 for India, according to the company. (Komatsu)

The distinction between the Southeast Asian and Indian markets is important. The confirmed launch covered by Komatsu’s announcement is for Southeast Asia. An India-market launch, Indian pricing and India-specific delivery schedules are UNKNOWN from the sources reviewed.

The published specifications above should therefore be read as the confirmed specifications for the referenced Southeast Asian machine and not automatically applied to another market configuration.

What it means for India’s equipment industry

The more interesting part of the launch for the Indian construction-equipment sector is the development role assigned to Komatsu India.

The company is using engineering, manufacturing and procurement capabilities in India to develop a machine intended for export markets. That places the Indian operation inside the product-development process rather than limiting its role to domestic manufacturing.

For equipment suppliers, the launch also reflects the importance of the 7-tonne excavator class across road construction, land development and rental applications. However, specific customer deliveries, production volumes and market share for the Komatsu PC75-10M0 have not been disclosed in the sources used for this article.

For now, the confirmed story is a Southeast Asian market launch of a machine developed and manufactured in India. The next point to watch is whether Komatsu announces additional markets or configurations for the PC75-10M0.
