Greater Noida, September 16, 2026: Day 2 of bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2026 saw a series of equipment launches spanning mining, earthmoving, road construction, road maintenance and concrete applications, with SANY, Caterpillar and InfraServe Global introducing new machines and products at the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida.
Rather than a broad showcase of technologies, the day’s key developments were concentrated around products aimed at specific operating environments, from high-capacity mining equipment to road-maintenance and concrete-pumping machinery.
SANY India launched the SW978K1 PRO-In wheel loader on the second day of the exhibition. The machine is positioned for high-productivity mining operations and is powered by a 210 kW Weichai engine.
The loader has a 7,500 kg rated payload and is offered with bucket capacities ranging from 4.5 m³ to 7.0 m³.
SANY is displaying 31 machines, including 13 new products, across excavation, mining, road construction, deep foundation, ports, material handling, aerial work platforms and heavy-duty transportation. The company is also highlighting electric equipment across several machine categories.
Caterpillar used Day 2 to introduce three machines aimed at different parts of the construction and infrastructure equipment market: the Cat 355 Hydraulic Excavator, Cat D5 Dozer and Cat 120 GC Motor Grader.
The Cat 355 Hydraulic Excavator is targeted at quarrying, mining and heavy-infrastructure applications. It is powered by a Cat C13B engine, with the 355 WVG configuration featuring a 4,040 mm-wide undercarriage and bucket options including 4.0 m³ severe-duty and 4.5 m³ heavy-duty buckets.
The Cat D5 Dozer is powered by a Cat C7.1 engine and fully automatic transmission. The machine features a 4.3 m³ SU blade, with available technology and blade configurations intended for precision applications.
The Cat 120 GC Motor Grader, powered by a Cat C4.4 engine, is aimed at road construction and maintenance, including rural road maintenance and finish grading.
Caterpillar is also demonstrating connected technologies including Product Link, VisionLink and Cat GRADE with ASSIST alongside its equipment, aftermarket and financing offerings.
InfraServe Global, part of the Gainwell Group, made its bauma CONEXPO INDIA debut with five product launches covering road maintenance, asphalt applications, mastic heating and concrete pumping.
The lineup includes the Etnyre RoadSaver slurry sealer, Etnyre Black-Topper Centennial asphalt distributor, Etnyre Mastic Kettle, and two concrete pumps with capacities of 50 m³ and 70 m³.
The RoadSaver incorporates computerised controls and CAN-Bus monitoring for aggregate, water and additive delivery, with the stated objective of improving consistency during slurry-sealing operations.
InfraServe said the products are engineered and manufactured in India for domestic and international markets.
The Day 2 launches at bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2026 underline the increasingly application-specific nature of equipment development. SANY’s SW978K1 PRO-In is aimed at high-capacity mining operations, Caterpillar’s three-machine launch covers mining, heavy infrastructure and road construction, while InfraServe Global has focused on specialised road-maintenance, asphalt and concrete applications.
