Chandigarh, September 22, 2026: Haryana has approved a ₹9,700 crore road infrastructure package that includes bypass projects around five cities and a broader policy push for ring roads and highways outside urban areas.
The approved package includes projects around Hisar, Kurukshetra-Ladwa, Narnaul, Jind and Sohna-Palwal, with the aim of diverting through traffic from built-up areas and improving road connectivity.
The nearly 11-km Narnaul city bypass will connect with NH-148B. At Jind, an outer ring road and a four-lane bypass on NH-352 have been approved. The Palwal-Sohna bypass is planned as a four-lane road over about 24 km.
The Hisar bypass will connect the Hisar-Rajgarh road with the Hisar-Delhi and Hisar-Kaithal roads. The DPR for the Kurukshetra-Ladwa bypass has also been prepared.
Haryana also plans to formulate a policy for developing outer ring roads and national highways around cities and towns with populations above one lakh. A three-member committee has been formed to work out the state’s share under the proposed Centre-state funding arrangement.
The state is also planning greenfield connectivity linking the DND-Faridabad-Ballabhgarh-KMP corridor and the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway with Jewar International Airport.
Large road packages typically create requirements across earthmoving, grading, crushing, paving and material-handling equipment as projects move from approvals into execution. The timing of tendering and construction will determine when that equipment demand reaches contractors and fleet operators.
