The launch was highlighted in a September 15 Instagram post by Infra Junction, which described the machine as being built for agricultural material handling. JCB’s official exhibition page independently lists the Agri Max 4WD among its products at bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2026.
According to JCB, the Agri Max 4WD is designed for applications including loading sugarcane at farms, handling bales at mandis and working at cold-storage facilities.
The machine uses a Kirloskar 4R810 naturally aspirated, four-cylinder, water-cooled TREM-IIIA diesel engine producing 36.09 kW (49 hp) of gross power and 203 Nm of gross torque at 1,300 rpm.
JCB lists a maximum forward speed of 28 km/h in fourth gear and a 3.01:1 torque-converter stall ratio.
The Agri Max 4WD uses a heavy-duty 4×4 drivetrain, with a 4WD steer axle and a centrally pivoted axle with a 16-degree oscillation angle. JCB also lists a standard three-spool auxiliary circuit for operating multiple attachments.
An optional rear cooling pack is available for applications such as cotton and coir, while an additional auxiliary valve can be specified for extra attachments.
JCB also offers attachments for the machine. Its bauma exhibition page lists a Sugarcane Grabber and a High-Dump Grab Bucket for Agri Max applications. The company says the high-dump bucket has a 1.3 cu m capacity and up to 4 m dumping height for materials such as straw, cotton and coir.
The machine is equipped with JCB’s SS 700 synchro-shuttle transmission, featuring four fully synchromesh gears and an integral torque converter with an electrically operated reversing shuttle. The shuttle switch is column-mounted, allowing forward and reverse selection without leaving the steering wheel.
JCB says the configuration is intended to support frequent material-handling operations while reducing the need for clutch operation.
The Agri Max 4WD includes an adjustable operator seat, dedicated legroom, a soft-touch steering wheel and a walk-through platform. Its instrument panel displays engine speed, engine hours, fuel level and coolant temperature and includes a 12V charging socket.
JCB also specifies dealer-fitted LiveLink telematics, providing service information, machine-health alerts, usage data, engine-status information and machine location and movement tracking.
The Agri Max 4WD is being displayed alongside JCB’s wider construction and earthmoving portfolio at bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2026, which runs from September 15 to 18 at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida. JCB’s official event page identifies its location as Stall OD40.
The launch adds an agricultural material-handling machine to JCB India’s exhibition portfolio at a show otherwise heavily focused on construction, infrastructure, mining and road equipment.
For agricultural operators handling sugarcane, bales and other bulk materials, the Agri Max 4WD represents JCB’s entry in the exhibition with a machine configured around material handling rather than conventional field-tractor applications.
