New Delhi, September 22, 2026: SDLG India has announced plans to invest around ₹1,500 crore in India as it expands manufacturing capacity, localisation and its construction-equipment portfolio.
The first step includes a ₹300 crore manufacturing plant in Gujarat, which is planned to reach a phased capacity of up to 3,000 machines a year.
The new facility is intended to strengthen local production and sourcing while giving SDLG additional capacity in India. The company has also introduced new excavators, wheel loaders and motor graders across diesel and electric configurations.
SDLG said the investment will support higher localisation and a wider use of Indian suppliers. The strategy also gives the company room to expand its presence across construction, infrastructure and mining applications.
The company has unveiled 10 new construction-equipment products spanning excavators, wheel loaders and motor graders, including electric equipment.
For India’s equipment industry, fresh manufacturing capacity can influence sourcing, supplier development and machine availability over time. The scale of the planned investment also underlines the role of India as a production base for construction equipment.
Equipment Brief follows equipment manufacturing, capacity expansion and localisation trends across India.
