Boppard, Germany, October 9, 2026: BOMAG has launched a new generation of highway asphalt pavers comprising the BF 700 C-5, BF 700 P-5 and BF 800 C-5, with a redesigned operating concept and updated screed options aimed at high-output road paving applications.
According to BOMAG’s 7 October 2026 product release, the BF 700 range delivers a maximum paving output of 700 tonnes per hour, while the BF 800 reaches up to 800 tonnes per hour. At launch, the BF 800 is offered as a tracked paver, while the BF 700-5 is available in both tracked and wheeled versions.
BOMAG announced the new machines from Boppard, Germany, on 7 October 2026. The manufacturer has an Indian subsidiary in Chakan, Pune, and lists Pune among its five global production sites, but the company has not confirmed Indian availability, pricing or India-specific specifications for these -5 models in the source material reviewed by Equipment Brief.
The new line-up consists of:
BOMAG describes the BF 700 C-5, BF 700 P-5 and BF 800 C-5 as highway pavers. Their rated outputs and screed options place them in the manufacturer’s larger road-paving range.
The company’s central product update is the myCOCKPIT operating concept, which allows paving crews to configure the information shown at the main operator station and at the screed control panel according to the task and working situation.
BOMAG says the new operating concept is designed to simplify machine control and reduce the number of separate steps required by operators and screed crews.
The interface uses a 10-inch display at the main operator station and a 7-inch display at the screed control panel. BOMAG says the displays can show key paving parameters including screed-width measurement, crown profile, cross slope, auger position and tow-arm height. Five buttons on the side control panel and two buttons on the driver’s joystick can be assigned custom functions.
Equipment Brief analysis: operator-interface design is increasingly relevant in asphalt paving because modern pavers are integrating more process data, levelling systems and automated functions. The practical value depends on how easily crews can use those systems on live paving jobs, particularly where shift changes, tight tolerances and variable site conditions place pressure on operators.
BOMAG says A-PAVE SMARTPAVE can coordinate scraper-belt and auger speed, screed temperature, tamper frequency and vibration frequency after the operator selects the paving layer. A-PAVE START can automatically relieve and lock the screed at start-up or during paving interruptions before returning it to the floating position, while A-PAVE SET+ can move the machine between transport and working positions at the push of a button.
The company also says key functions including paving width and height, cross slope and steering can be automated. Automatic crown-profile control is available as an option, while the bidirectional JOBLINK Pro interface is intended to support integration of external levelling systems.
BOMAG is also introducing the S 500-5 TV and S 600-5 TV screeds with the new paver generation.
The company says the revised screeds are 20% more rigid and 15% lighter than the previous design while maintaining the same surface pressure.
Depending on configuration, the S 500-5 TV can support paving widths of up to 9 metres, while the S 600-5 TV can extend to up to 10 metres.
Wider paving capability can be relevant on large road packages where contractors aim to reduce longitudinal joints or cover broad carriageway widths more efficiently, although final paving width and productivity depend on the selected screed configuration, material supply, mix design and site conditions.
The maximum rated paving outputs of 700 tonnes per hour for the BF 700 and 800 tonnes per hour for the BF 800 place the machines in BOMAG’s highway-paver segment.
Rated output should not be treated as guaranteed site production. Actual paving performance depends on asphalt supply, paving width and thickness, truck logistics, material-transfer conditions, crew organisation and compaction coordination.
For highway contractors, paver utilisation is also linked closely to downstream roller capacity and quality-control systems. Equipment Brief’s guide to road-construction equipment explains how pavers, rollers, milling machines and supporting plant work together across pavement construction.
BOMAG operates in India through Bomag India Private Limited in Chakan, Pune, and lists Pune among its global production locations.
However, the 7 October launch announcement does not state when the BF 700 C-5, BF 700 P-5 or BF 800 C-5 will be offered commercially in India, nor does it provide India pricing, local homologation details or India-specific engine and screed configurations.
Equipment Brief will therefore treat this as a BOMAG product launch with potential relevance to the Indian road-equipment market, not as a confirmed India launch.
That distinction is important because machine specifications and commercial availability can vary by region.
Equipment Brief analysis: the launch adds another high-output paver generation to a competitive road-construction equipment segment where manufacturers are increasingly combining machine productivity with operator assistance, process documentation and digital paving controls.
For contractors, the relevant comparison will not be rated throughput alone. Screed flexibility, fuel use, parts support, operator familiarity, digital integration, uptime and local service coverage all influence lifecycle productivity.
Equipment Brief has recently covered Ammann India’s equipment launches and the industry’s push for stronger localisation of critical road-equipment components, providing wider context for competition in India’s paving and road-machinery market.
The next relevant development for Indian buyers will be confirmation from BOMAG of local availability, configurations, pricing and after-sales support for the new -5 paver range.
Until then, the verified development is BOMAG’s 7 October 2026 launch announcement for the BF 700 C-5, BF 700 P-5 and BF 800 C-5.
