Dilip Buildcon Receives ₹688.23 Crore NHAI LOA for Solapur NH-65 Elevated Corridor

Dilip Buildcon has received NHAI’s LOA for a ₹688.23-crore, 9.66-km four-lane elevated corridor from Old Pune Naka to Boramani Naka on NH-65 in Solapur. The filing lists 24 months for construction under HAM.

Updated 30 October 2026: Dilip Buildcon Limited has received a Letter of Award (LOA) from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for a ₹688.23-crore project to construct a four-lane elevated corridor on NH-65 in Solapur, Maharashtra. The company disclosed receipt of the LOA on 29 October, moving the package beyond the L1 stage reported on 28 September.

The package covers an elevated corridor and approaches from Old Pune Naka to Boramani Naka, from km 0.050 to km 9.710, under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM). The 29 October exchange filing lists a 24-month construction period and a 15-year operation period from the commercial operation date (COD). It does not state an appointed date or construction start date.

The current status is LOA received from NHAI, not merely L1. The filing confirms the award-stage milestone but does not confirm that a separate work order, notice to proceed, site handover or physical mobilisation has taken place.

NHAI tender covers a major urban elevated road package

NHAI’s procurement records describe the project as construction of a four-lane elevated corridor, including approaches, between Old Pune Naka and Boramani Naka on NH-65 in Solapur city.

The 29 October LOA disclosure confirms the awarded value but does not restate the original tender estimate; this update therefore focuses on the value disclosed by Dilip Buildcon.

The package sits within an urban road environment rather than a conventional greenfield highway section, which changes the execution profile. Elevated structures require foundation, pier, superstructure, traffic-management and approach works to be coordinated within an operating city corridor.

HAM structure extends responsibility beyond construction

The project is being procured under Hybrid Annuity Mode. Dilip Buildcon’s disclosure states a 24-month construction period and a 15-year operation period from COD.

Under HAM road projects, the selected concessionaire has responsibilities that extend beyond basic civil construction into longer-term project obligations under the concession framework.

The LOA moves the package beyond the L1 stage. The 24-month construction period should be tied to the contract’s defined effective or appointed date; the 29 October disclosure does not say that the period began on the LOA date.

What the elevated corridor could mean for construction equipment

Equipment Brief analysis: an urban elevated corridor of this scale can create demand across foundation drilling, concrete production and pumping, reinforcement handling, heavy lifting, segment or girder erection, access equipment and construction logistics.

Piling rigs and foundation equipment may be required for substructure work depending on the final construction method. Cranes and specialised lifting systems can become central during superstructure erection, while batching, pumping and concrete-placement equipment support pier, pier-cap and deck construction.

The project can also require significant traffic-management and site-logistics planning because work is to be undertaken along an existing urban highway corridor.

However, specific equipment models, fleet quantities and construction methodology have not been disclosed. The LOA does not identify equipment procurement packages or confirm whether the contractor will use owned, leased or subcontracted fleets. Dealers and rental firms should therefore treat this as an awarded construction opportunity, not a confirmed order for any particular machine or supplier.

For broader context on the equipment used in road projects, see Equipment Brief’s guide to road-construction machinery and applications.

LOA received; mobilisation remains a separate milestone

Dilip Buildcon’s 29 October filing confirms receipt of the LOA from NHAI. This is a later procurement stage than the company’s 28 September L1 disclosure. The article therefore records the current status as LOA received rather than retaining the earlier L1-only description.

The filing does not provide an appointed date, a separate work order, notice to proceed, site handover or physical mobilisation date. Those milestones should be verified independently before reporting that construction has begun.

What to watch next

The next project-level milestones to monitor are the appointed or effective date, any separate notice to proceed or work order if required under the contract, site handover and evidence of mobilisation. The construction period should not be assumed to run from the LOA announcement date unless the contract documents establish that start point.

Once mobilisation and the construction methodology are confirmed, the project’s actual equipment and supply-chain requirements can be assessed more precisely.

The Solapur package also adds another active road-infrastructure opportunity to the current procurement pipeline. Equipment Brief is tracking other highway packages through Tender Watch, including the recently published Hyderabad–Vijayawada NH-65 six-laning tender.
